Dan's Shop Inc. and Dirks Wiper Systems

Dans Shop Inc. was founded back in 1991 after Dan Dirksen (founder and owner) graduated from Canby vocational technical college in 1992 to be a diesel technician, he had been selling trucks and working trucks out of a garage behind his house.

Dan soon found he had the need for parts, after many, many trips to different locations he steadily built his parts inventory and took on some help, gradually one technician , then a parts manager to help with the inventory and sales of over the counter parts. Finally he found Rick Freese our current service manager who has been with the company since 1998. Our parts manager Kurt Stranberg who has been with the company since 2002 and Tracy Stephen, service writer, warranty manager and Dirk’s wiper systems sales representative, who has been with the company since 2005. Now we have 11 employees and an 8 bay shop.

Dirks wiper systems (a subsidiary of Dan’s Shop Inc.) started in the winter of 2007 as a named company but all the trial and error started the year before that. We started with one 1985 Peterbilt 359 and tried and tried to find the right wiper motor but nothing would work, we’re sure all of you have done the same, hot rod shops, local parts stores and anyone with a crazy internet story that, “this wiper motor will work” well through it all, the team at Dirk’s wiper systems, have in fact conquered the “big air wiper motor problem”. This kit really works! So that’s the history, we now have our web site and hope you like our products, thank you very much.
